Children Ministry

The mission of Children's Ministry of Bethel Evangelical Baptist Church of Delray is to reach out to children with the message of Christ's unconditional love, guiding them to grow into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ nurturing in them a heart to serve.

In children’s ministry, we seek to be a reflection of the church where children are embraced and nurtured. We want each child to feel welcome and accepted as the individual God has made him/her to be.  We understand that children come to our church from different economical, intellectual and sometimes social and cultural backgrounds thereby making each child unique and special.  Consequently, we strive to create an environment where each child will be met where he/she is at and feel accepted in a world that often tries to fit children to its mold. It is our hope to reach as many children as we can to turn this world around for Christ. This ministry is divided into departments, each working towards the same goal:

¨      The Sunday morning services are held at the same time as the adult services from 8-9:30AM and from 11AM-1:00PM.  Many different voluntary teachers work with the students.

¨      Sunday school is held in between both services from 9:45 to 10:50AM. This department ensures that students understand how to live their lives for Christ and it is where our students learn the basics for the Christian faith and stories that include The Creation and The Life of Jesus Christ, that are the foundation of our faith. Every forth Sunday, the students are able show their parents what they learned through a question and answer session held in the church after the adult Sunday school groups have met.

¨      Wednesday night Bible study, also known as Bottom Line, hosted by the youth ministry, is held from 8-9:30PM.

¨      Children’s Choir is under the direction of Sr Myrtha Alexandre. She works with children from age 3-12, who are divided into two groups, elementary and middle school. They are taught God’s word, works, and the Christian faith through songs.
