Bethel Evangelical Baptist Church

Brother Evens is serving the Lord as the senior Pastor of the Church. He came to Delray Beach from New Orleans, Louisiana, in December 2004, to work as the senior associate Pastor for a period of three (3) years. After the departure of Pastor Franck to be with the Lord he agreed to add an extension to continue serving the church family through the transition period. Pastor Evens is a graduate of State University of Haiti and NOBTS (New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary). He is a much sought after speaker, having spoken at Evangelism Conferences, Pastor's Conferences, Leadership Conferences, Marriage and Family Conferences, and Men’s conferences.  He is also teaching at the South Florida extension center of NOBTS. He is married to Filise and together they are enjoying the presence of their son Reuben Amatsiah Philaire. The Lord is using his wonderful wife to help children, marriage and families throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties while working successively at Henderson Mental Health services, Children Home Society and now in Boys town. Sr. Filise is also a graduate from NOBTS where she earned a MA in Marriage and Family Counseling. She has spoken at several Youth and Women’s Conferences. Pastor Evens enjoys teaching, serving and helping people.
