Our Doctrinal Statement

  • We believe the Bible, embracing both the Old and the New Testaments, to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative word of God. It is the basis for what we believe and what we do.  2 Tim 3:15,16

  • We believe there is only one true God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Deut 32:39; Matt 28:19; 1 Jn 5:7

  • We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. That He is God with the Father and the Holy Spirit. John 1:1-4; 1 Tim 3:16

  • We believe that Jesus was miraculously born from the Virgin Mary. Matt 1:18-24

  • We believe Jesus lived a sinless life. 2 Cor. 5:21; 2 Tim 3:15,16

  • We believe Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead on the third day. Jn 19:4-20:1-10 and 20:19-20;

  • We believe Jesus ascended to heaven and will return to establish His eternal kingdom. Acts 1:9-11; Matt 25:31; Rev 20:4-6

  • We believe in the absolute Lordship of Jesus Christ and that faith in Him is the only way a person may be saved and enter Heaven. Dan 7:13-14; Col 1:13-18; John 14:6

  • We believe a person is saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Thus, salvation is a gift of God and cannot be earned. Rom 5:1; Eph 2:8-9

  • We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit which enables a believer to live a holy life. 2 Pet 1:2-4; 1 Jn 3:4-6,9; Gal 5:16

  • We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and that they are in operation in the church today. 1 Cor. 12:1-11; Rom 11:29 

  • We believe in eternal life for the saved and eternal damnation for the lost. 1 Jn 2:24-25; Rev 20:15; Rev 14:10-11 

  • We believe that Heaven and Hell are real places. 2 Cor 12:1-4; Rev 4:1-2; Mk 9:42-48; Rev 20:11-15 

  • We believe that God does not desire anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance and be saved. 2 Peter 3:9; 1 Tim 2:4

  • We believe in what the Bible teaches us about:  God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), man, salvation, the church, baptism & Lord's Supper, the Lord's Day, the kingdom of God, the Second Coming of Christ and the end of the World, evangelism and missions, Christian education, stewardship, cooperation, the Christian and the social order, peace and war, religious liberty, and how to live the abundant Christian life.
