Online Giving - Frequently Asked Questions

Why would I want to give online?

Security and convenience make online transactions an increasingly popular means of donating to an organization. You also can take advantage of the discipline that recurring donations can provide for your giving.

Is my online giving secure?

Yes. Every transaction is encrypted with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), the same industry-standard encrypton trusted for online commerce with world class-financial organizations. When you give via a credit/debit card, your transactions are secured via the same fraud protection as when you purchase something.

What cards are accepted?

This system accepts Debit/Credit/Rewards Cards with the Visa, Mastercard, Discover. It will not process any American Express.

Can I use e-check (also known as ACH) for my donation?

YES! In fact, we strongly encourage it. Be sure you have enough funds in the account. There will be a $5.00 fees for chargebacks and your financial institution may also charge you.

When will the transaction go on my account?

You set the date when you want and how often you want your card charged. An eChecking transaction may not be reflected on the bank account involved for two business days. The charge will show on your statement as "Donation to BEBC".

Can I give as little or as much as I want?

Donations must be a minimum of $5.00 and there are NO limitations on the maximum amount.

Are donations to Bethel Evangelical Baptist Church tax-deductible?

Yes. Bethel Evangelical Baptist Church is a 501 (c) (3) organization. Therefore, your online donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

How does the church handle mistaken transactions or donors that want their money back?
