Free Care for You and Your Family: The Mission Clinic of Palm Springs

The month of May marks Mental Health Awareness Month, a time dedicated to highlighting and educating others on the importance of caring for our physical and mental well-being.

It is also a reminder of the value of holistic health. Life’s seasons can be unpredictable. With busy schedules, unexpected problems, and family obligations, it can often feel like we’re caught in a never-ending cycle of trials and responsibilities. Yet even in the midst of it all, caring for your health is essential. The Mission Clinic of Palm Springs provides free health care services to the uninsured, low-income, and disadvantaged people in South Florida.
“The Lord nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health.” (Psalm 41:3, NLT)
In different cultures and communities, it may be looked down upon to discuss mental and emotional struggles. Yet, it is the very thing that can hinder people from living a healthy and happy life. The Mission Clinic of Palm Springs in South Florida is working to change this narrative for disadvantaged individuals by providing clinical care for the body and mind.
The Mission Clinic is a volunteer-based health services provider dedicated to sharing Christ’s love through action by providing free quality health care to the uninsured and low-income community, while promoting holistic care. The clinic provides services such as primary care, lab, pharmacy, school and sports physicals, massage therapy, and more.
Among the behavioral health services offered at no cost is mental health counseling. This service is confidential and led by licensed professionals and providers who can help walk individuals through different challenges. This service helps individuals identify areas of their mental health that may need support and provides the counseling they need.

If you know someone who would be blessed by the work the Mission Clinic provides, we encourage you to share this information with them. If you would like to volunteer or support this effort, please visit www.missionclinic.org for more information!

We hope this Mental Awareness month, you take the necessary steps to steward your health and utilize the free resources available to you and your family.

Stay blessed!
